When you're ready, we support your move to independent living with ongoing guidance and aftercare to ensure long-term success.
VISHY supports young people aged 16–24, particularly care leavers, those at risk of homelessness, and young people transitioning from residential care or family breakdown. We work with local authorities, youth services, and social care teams to provide placements for those who need supported accommodation.
Our supported accommodation provides: a fully furnished private room, access to shared living spaces (kitchen, bathroom, lounge), 24/7 support availability, regular one-to-one support sessions, life skills training, help with education and employment, and a pathway to independent living. All our properties are in safe, accessible locations.
You can access our services through several routes: local authority referral, social worker referral, youth service referral, or self-referral by contacting us directly. We accept referrals from all local authorities and partner organisations. Simply get in touch via our contact form or phone, and we'll guide you through the process.
Every young person receives personalised support including: a dedicated keyworker, weekly support meetings (minimum), help with practical skills like cooking and budgeting, emotional wellbeing support, education and employment guidance, help accessing healthcare and other services, support with housing applications for independent living, and aftercare support even after you've moved on.
